In what is normally seen as a potential indicator of how the Oscars may go The 2014 Golden Globes took place last night and, despite a burst sewage pipe on the red carpet, didn’t throw up too many surprises. American Hustle faired well with Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence both walking away with awards for their performances as well as the film also winning Best Picture (Comedy or Musical). Alfonso Cuaron took the director award for Gravity which left 12 Years A Slave looking like a forgotten cousin until it took home Best Picture in the dramatic section.
