Interview with the Vampire Season 1 Unboxing

Almost 20 years after Neil Jordan’s big screen adaptation starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, Anne Rice’s 1976 novel is brought to life once again for a much smaller screen in this new TV series. Critically acclaimed and widely considered the superior adaptation due to its expansive length allowing it to delve deeper into themes only hinted at in the film, this gothic tale makes for unmissable TV. Acorn Media have given the series the Blu-ray treatment with a sparkling HD transfer over two discs, complimenting the show’s lavish production design.

In the year 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson, Game of Thrones) seeks to tell the story of his life, or afterlife, to renowned journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian, Succession). Beginning in early 20th century New Orleans, Louis’ story follows his relationship with the vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid, The Newsreader) and their formed family, including teen fledgling Claudia (Bailey Bass, Avatar: The Way of Water). Together, the vampire family endures immortality, in New Orleans and beyond.
