Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) stars Logan Lerman, a young actor who is fast carving out an illustrious career for himself. With appearances in both critically-acclaimed indie flicks and the fantasy series, Percy Jackson the 21-year-old American is certainly a name to watch. In anticipation of next week’s release of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters on DigitalHD Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD FilmJuice takes a look at some of this young star’s most memorable moments.
Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief (2010)
Logan’s first lead role came in this Harry Potter-esque fantasy adaptation of Rick Riordan’s novel, directed by Chris Columbus. Percy Jackson is the central character; a seemingly ordinary teenage boy living in New York City who soon learns that his father is the mythical God, Poseidon (Kevin McKidd). Featuring an all-star cast ranging from Sean Bean to Uma Thurman, Logan carries the role with the fervour of Daniel Radcliffe as that wizard … and then some. Lerman returned as Jackson in 2013 sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
The Three Musketeers (2011)
This all-star adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel saw Logan take lead role duties yet again, here starring as D’Artagnan, a young man who hopes to become a Musketeer – just as his father was before him. Pitted against a whole array of hot young actors, including Luke Evans and Orlando Bloom, Lerman proved himself to be an actor well on the road to superstardom.
The Perks of Being A Wallflower (2011)
Critical smash The Perks of Being a Wallfower lined Lerman up alongside Emma Watson and Ezra Miller in what was to become a cult classic in the making. Set in the 90s, the story follows Charlie (Lerman), as a shy and unpopular unconventional thinker in his freshman year of high school. Filled to the brim with endless cultural references, this is an underrated watch that showcases the talents of each of the three main leads, none more so than Lerman.
Stuck In Love (2013)
Here Lerman stared as aspiring novelist Lou, a charming individual who attempts to initiate a meaningful relationship with Lily Collins’ frosty classmate, Samantha. Bringing a real understated gravitas to the role, Lerman demonstrated his maturity and acting ability, further building his reputation as a quality actor on the way to becoming a household name.
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is out now on DigitalHD, and will be released on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on 9th December 2013
