Vaughn & Ferrell Together Again

Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell, the two stars who have appeared together in the likes of Old School and Wedding Crashers, are teaming up once again for Daddy’s Home.  The film will see Ferrell as a radio executive who wants nothing more than to be a great stepdad to his wife’s two kids.  But when their real father, a freeloading liability to be played by Vaughn, turns up the two must battle it out for the children’s affections.  Given the success of their previous collaborations studio Paramount Pictures must surely be seeing dollar signs.  The film will be directed by Tropic Thunder writer Etan Cohen from a script by Brian Burns, Chris Henchy, Cohen and Ferrell’s regular writing partner Adam McKay.  Before that we’ll see Vaughn opposite his other Wedding Crasher, Owen Wilson for The Internship while Ferrell, who is rumoured to have an uncredited cameo in that film, has a small project called Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues coming out later this year.  We’ve no idea what that one’s about.  Source – Paramount Pictures via Coming Soon

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
