Actor Rolf Lassgård

Ever since Stieg Larsson’s Millenium Trilogy woke us up to the beautifully grim world of Northern Europe’s own brand of snow-bound noir, the world has been having something of a love affair with Swedish cinema. This month sees the release of False Trail, a dark, edgy and unpredictable Scandinavian thriller directed by Kjell Sundvall and starring Rolf Lassgår of Wallander fame.

This month sees the release of False Trail, a dark, edgy and unpredictable Scandinavian thriller directed by Kjell Sundvall and starring Rolf Lassgår of Wallander fame.

False Trail (original title Jägarna 2), a sequel to The Hunters (Jägarna) opens in cinemas across the UK from 14th December 2012. Rolf Lassgår speaks candidly about his preparation for the role and how tough it was to get under the skin of gritty anti-hero, Erik Bäckström.

Many thanks to Premiere Scene.
