Samuel LoveAs Paul Giamatti remains a frontrunner in the race for this year’s Academy Award for Best Actor with his beautifully layered performance in The Holdovers, there’s no better time to catch up with Billions. This compelling and addictive drama plunges viewers into the world of hedge funds and financial crime, centred mainly around the collision course between U.S. Attorney Chuck Roades (Giamatti) as he goes after hedge fund manager and popular philanthropist Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis). Over seven increasingly divisive seasons, Billions never quite hit the staggering prestige highs of shows like Succession, but there’s a lot to love here – and hey, seven seasons’ worth of Paul Giamatti can never be a bad thing.
Some will triumph. Some will tumble. Each will learn the price they have to pay. Emmy® winners Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti lead an outstanding cast in the Showtime hit financial drama called “ruthlessly entertaining” (TV Guide) and “TV’s most addictive show” (Uproxx.com): Corey Stoll, Maggie Siff, David Costabile, Dola Rashad, Asia Kate Dillon, Jeffrey DeMunn, Daniel Breaker, Sakina Jaffrey, and Toney Goines. Everything’s on the line, the ground is ever shifting, and power is the ultimate currency. Guest stars include Julianna Margulies, Mark Cuban, Jerry O’Connell, Rick Hoffman, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. BILLIONS®: The Complete Series encompasses all seven seasons and 84 episodes on 30 discs, with over one hour of special features.
BILLIONS®: The Complete Series is available now from CBS DVD.
