Bananaman Movie Inbound?

You know the story; when Eric eats a banana he becomes…Bananaman. That’s right, with all this superhero craze going through the roof it was only a matter of time before someone stumbled upon the potential for a Bananaman Movie.  That time has seemingly come with a website going by the name of Bananamanmovie.com.  It promises a 2015 release and an Elstree Studio based production.  For those not in the loop, Bananaman was created back in 1980, presumably to encourage kids to get more potassium, first appearing in Nutty comic and was drawn by John Geering.  He would go on to appear in a 1983 cartoon series which lasted 40 episodes running up until 1986.  What’s next?  Super Ted? Danger Mouse? And all before we get a Thunder Cats movie? What’s wrong with the world?  Source – Den Of Geek

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
