Battle Creek Brawl Unboxing

Fan favourite Battle Creek Brawl [The Big Brawl] returns to Blu-ray in a wonderful Deluxe Collector’s Edition from 88 Films. The 1980 classic saw Jackie Chan’s Jerry Kwan in a toughest man tournament against H.B. Heggarty’s Billy Kiss with some of the best and funniest sequences in Chan’s career. It’s a delightful film that combines 80s kung fu comedy with prohibition-era Chicago iconography to great effect. A delight. 88 Films’ gorgeous new release celebrates the film with wonderful new artwork along with a double-sided poster, lobby card reproductions, a perfect-bound book and much, much more. A lavish release for a much-loved film.

It’s 1930s Chicago, and a young Chinese American martial arts expert Jerry Kwan (Jackie Chan) finds himself forced to compete in a no-holds-barred toughest man tournament. Only his cantankerous uncle (Mako, ‘Conan the Destroyer’) can prepare Jerry to fight and win against the mountainous Billy Kiss (H.B. Heggarty, ‘Paint Your Wagon’). Chan brings his kung fu comedy to the jazz era, backed by a real Hollywood cast including Oscar winner Jose Ferrer (‘Dune’) and Lenny Montana from ‘The Godfather’. ‘Enter the Dragon’ director Robert Clouse delivers a fun fight fest that has become a bona fide fan favourite!
