Joy Division – A Celebration

In 2022 – the year of the fifteen anniversary of Anton Corbijn’s masterful Ian Curtis biopic Control Peter Hook & The Light are to tour the UK with ‘Joy Division – A Celebration’. 

After being first scheduled to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the celebrated post-punk band in May 2020, the tour is to finally begin this April after years of Covid delays. All of the dates on the tour will see Hooky and his incredible band performing Unknown Pleasures and Closer in their entirety, along with an opening set of New Order material. 

April sees stops in Brighton, Colchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Oxford, Holmfirth, Newcastle, Gloucester, Birmingham, and Bournemouth, while the summer leg of the tour in July will offer up shows in Leeds, Brixton, Glasgow and Manchester. Ireland have to wait until November, when Hooky will be performing shows at Limerick, Dublin and Belfast.

Formed in 2010, Peter Hook’s band includes his son Jack Bates along with Paul Kehoe, David Potts and Martin Rebelski
