LOCKE

BLU-RAY / DVD / DOWNLOAD MONDAY AUGUST 25TH 2014

Lionsgate Home Entertainment is pleased to confirm that the universally acclaimed thriller, LOCKE will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download from Monday August 25th, the title is available to pre-order across all formats now.

Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Dirty Pretty Things, Hummingbird) and starring one of Britain’s great character actors, Tom Hardy (Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Bronson) in the lead role, LOCKE is the story of one man’s life unravelling in a tension-fuelled 90-minute race against time.

Ivan Locke has the perfect family, his dream job in construction, and tomorrow should be the crowning moment of his career. But one phone call will force him to make a decision that will put it all on the line.

Alongside an incredible supporting cast, including Olivia Colman (Broadchurch), Andrew Scott (Sherlock), Tom Holland (The Impossible) and Bill Milner (Son Of Rambow), Tom Hardy gives the performance of his career.

Hailed by many as the best British actor in a generation, Hardy has forged an enviable career encompassing both stage and screen. His chameleon-like talent means he is equally as impressive shooting independent cinema, as he is in some of the medium’s highest grossing blockbusters.

Writer/director Steven Knight is currently available for interview, both face to face in London and over the phone.

“I was so thrilled by the response to Locke”, says Knight ahead of the home entertainment release, “It took us all by surprise that a small movie could have such a huge impact around the world. I hope it’s a film that rewards a second look for those who caught it. For those who didn’t, I hope it will be rewarding.”

The Blu-ray & DVD release of LOCKE will include an exclusive “Making Of” documentary, featuring behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Steven Knight, producers Paul Webster and Guy Healey, cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos and editor Justine Wright.
