Mandy Patinkin, the man forever known as Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride and more recently as Saul from TV’s Homeland, has signed on to star in Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here.  The film, which has been the subject of much speculation thanks to its Kickstarter campaign, will see Braff as a struggling actor, father and husband who, at 35 years-old, is trying to find his place in the world.  When his father, to be played by Patinkin, tells him he can no longer afford to pay for Braff’s children’s private education he takes it upon himself to home school them.  While at first he struggles with this he soon decides on his own form of education which results in him learning a thing or two about himself.  Braff has written and will also direct the project.  Patinkin is currently involved with upcoming film American Pastoral.
