One Night In Istanbul

ONE NIGHT IN ISTANBUL

It only takes one night to become a legend

Available on DVD, Download & On-Demand From 2nd February 2015

The hilarious new football comedy One Night in Istanbul lands on DVD, Download and On-Demand this February. Based on the hit play by Nicky Allt, One Night in Istanbul is a rollercoaster ride of laughs that will appeal not only to football fans, but anyone who enjoys a good British comedy.

The film follows two down-on-their-luck Liverpool cabbies, Tommy and Gerry, who strike an unusual deal with a local gangster to take their sons on a trip of a lifetime, to watch their beloved team play in the 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul. However, big trouble awaits them in the form of two ruthless crooks and a huge bag of stolen cash. It’s not long before the pressure on the pitch is almost as heated as the action off it.

Featuring a host of well-loved acting talent, including Paul Barber (The Full Monty, Only Fools and Horses), Samantha Womack (Eastenders, Game On), Steven Waddington (Sleepy Hollow, The Parole Officer), and Lucien Laviscount (Waterloo Road, Grange Hill), One Night In Istanbul will appeal not only to Liverpool fans but football fans everywhere, both young and old. The film also features the big screen debut of former Liverpool player Robbie Fowler.

The film was directed by James Marquand, award-winning film director and son of Return of the Jedi director Richard Marquand and is produced by Stray Dogs Films.

Having played at ODEON cinemas across the country following a star-studded World Premiere in September, the Home Entertainment release in February will be a must have for anyone who remembers that legendary night in Istanbul.
