Search For Batman Begins

Batman, The Caped Crusader last seen on screen in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, is looking for someone to fill his now empty cowl.  With Warners announcing that Zack Synder would follow up Man Of Steel with a Superman / Batman movie, rumours have begun as to who could play Bruce Wayne since Christian Bale retired from Bats duty.  The Hollywood Reporter is now running a list that they claim has been acquired from someone on the inside (presumably not Batman butler Alfred, he’s good at keeping Batman’s identity under wraps).  The names on said list include Ryan Gosling, because he’s everyone’s favourite star right now, Josh Brolin, who would certainly support the rumours that the producers are looking for a more experienced Batman, True Blood’s Joe Manganiello, The Hobbit’s Richard Armitage, Watchman’s Matthew Goode and Revenge and Pacific Rim’s Max Martini.  Of course with the script yet to be complete, and no definite schedule in place for the film, it’s hard to believe this is anything other than speculation.  But what you do you think?  Would should play the next Batman, someone on the list or an actor that the Hollywood big-wigs haven’t thought of?  Source – The Hollywood Reporter

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
