Star Wars Producer Bringing New Sci-Fi To Life

Rick McCallum, famous for being the producer behind the Star Wars prequels, is teaming with director Kaleb Lechowski to bring a feature length version of Lechowski’s short film R’Ha to the screen.  The film will see an alien race having to defend themselves from the machines they built to protect them.  You can see the original short film below which certainly has some impressive Avatar-like qualities about it.  Life On Mars creator Matthew Graham has been brought on to write the script for the film.  McCallum is currently producing A Long Way Home with Game Of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage in the lead role.  Source – The Hollywood Reporter

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
