Tomb Raider, the ongoing adventures of Lara Croft, has found a writer for the latest reboot of the franchise in the form of Marti Noxon. The most recent Tomb Raider game, upon which the film will be based on, takes a Batman Begins style look at Lara and lets us see her on her first adventure which cemented her as a bonafide Tomb Raider. Recently Noxon has been working on TV’s Glee but also wrote the script for the Fright Night remake. However, what makes her an ideal fit for a Lara Croft outing is that she used to write for Joss Whedon’s Buffy The Vampire Slayer so she knows a thing or two about how to write a strong female protagonist. The Tomb Raider franchise has seen two previous films, both starring Angelina Jolie, and grossed an impressive $432 million worldwide. There’s no word on who may fill Lara’s shorts this time around yet but the likes of Gemma Arterton and Hayley Atwell have expressed an interest. Source – Variety
