AVAILABLE ON BLU-RAY AND DVD JULY 10th, 2017
A mesmerising thriller driven by the year’s most talked about performance from Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee Isabelle Huppert, ELLE arrives on digital download July 3rd, 2017, before coming to Blu-ray and DVD on July 10th, courtesy of Lionsgate Home Entertainment
Wealthy entrepreneur Michèle (Huppert) seems indestructible as the head of a successful video game company, and brings the same ruthless attitude to her private and love life as to her business. But after being attacked in her home by an unknown assailant her life changes forever. Whilst determined to track down her attacker without help from the police, she becomes suddenly aware of the chaotic relationships that define her life; an imprisoned father, her increasingly detached son and a secret affair she’s hidden from a close friend. When Michèle resolutely tracks her attacker down, she draws him into a dangerous game that may, at any moment, spiral out of control.
ELLE marks the emphatic return of acclaimed director Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct, Total Recall), as his first feature film released in over ten years. Huppert, the film’s beating heart, gives an incredibly powerful performance that justifiably drew immense critical acclaim and a Best Actress gong at this year’s Golden Globe Awards (as well as an Academy Award nomination). ELLE is an unforgettable revenge thriller like no other that will test your inhibitions as much as it grips. Essential cinema and an essential purchase.
