Nicolas Cage up for Lost Melody?

Nicolas Cage, the actor last heard on screen in The Croods and soon to be seen opposite John Cusack in The Frozen Ground, is eyeing the lead role in Lost Melody.  The film is being co-written and directed by Bad Santa helmer Terry Zwigoff and, if he signs on, would see Cage trapped in a marriage to a woman he can’t stand and embarking on an affair with a prostitute.  As you do.  And if Melody isn’t the name of the prostitute then frankly why bother?  Before that Cage has a host of films in the pipeline including the likes of The Expendables 3, Outcast and will soon be seen in David Gordon Green’s Joe.  Source – The Wrap

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
