No More Bats For Bale

Christian Bale, the man who wore the Bat-suit for all three of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight films, has re-affirmed that he will not return as Batman for any new Batman movies including the potential Justice League film.  Talking to EW, Bale said he and Nolan were surprised they ended up making as many as three Dark Knight films but that he felt it was time to pass the role onto a new actor.  As to who that actor might be he insisted he had no idea.  There have been rumours that Armie Hammer, soon to be The Lone Ranger, could be set to wear the cowl and *Dark Knight Rises Spoiler Alert* the way The Dark Knight Rises ended there is clearly an opening for Joseph Gordon Levitt to become the new Batman if Warners decided to go down that route.  So without the worry of Gotham’s safety to concern him Bale instead has such projects as Terrence Malick’s Knight Of Cups, revenge thriller Out Of The Furnace and David O. Russell film with Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle.  It seems this former Batman has more than enough to keep him busy.  Source – Entertainment Weekly
