Quentin Tarantino Holsters Planned Western Project

In News by Alex Moss Editor

Almost a year ago Quentin Tarantino was winning his Best Original Screenplay Oscar for his Django Unchained Script.  That inspired him to continue in the Western genre with his latest script, which we now know is called The Hateful Eight, which was set to be his next project.  But the writer-director has now stated that he will not make the film for the indefinite future thanks to some lovely person leaking the script online.  Tarantino told Deadline “I’m not making this next.  I’m going to publish it, and that’s it for now.  I give it out to six people and, if I can’t trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it.  I’m done, I’ll move on to the next thing.  I’ve got ten more where that came from.”  Parts had been written for Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson but neither of those two actors had yet received a copy of the script.  However, Deadline reports that actors Bruce Dern, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen had all received copies although who the other three people to have read the script remains a mystery for now.  Either way it’s a sad end to what promised to be an interesting project.  Source – Deadline
