The Terminator Finds A New Home?

In News by Alex Moss Editor

The Terminator Franchise, dormant since 2009’s Salvation, is edging closer and closer to a return with news that Paramount could offer a home for Skynet.  The studio are in talks with rights holders Annapurna and Skydance to team up for the next instalment of the franchise.  Earlier this year Patrick Lussier and Laeta Kalogridis were hired to write the script for the film.  Lussier directed My Bloody Valentine 3D and Drive Angry while Kalogridis’ credits are a little more comforting for Terminator fans having penned Shutter Island and done some script work on Terminator creator James Cameron’s Avatar.  The biggest news, more recently, is that the original T-800 Arnold Schwarzenegger stated he would also be returning for the next film.  Quite what the plot will be, when it will be set or how they’ll explain a robot has aged as much as Arnie has is anyone’s guess but anything’s possible with a bit of time travel magic.  Source – The Wrap
