Unboxing Paramount 4K Classics

From Paramount Home Entertainment comes three much-loved flicks from their catalogue making their 4K UHD debut in the UK. These classics – from the Golden Age to now – are each uniquely different, and are indicative of both the immense quality and versatility of the studio. First off, we have William Wyler’s Oscar-winning Roman Holiday, starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Celebrating its 70th year, this charming rom-com sparkles brighter than ever before in 4K UHD. Next up, Tim Burton’s 1999 gothic horror Sleepy Hollow is a film that truly lends itself to the 4K format thanks to its hauntingly beautiful visuals, which look absolutely impeccable here. The chilling film holds up incredibly well with genuine scares and fantastic performances, including an unforgettable turn from Christopher Walken. Finally, Craig Brewer’s Hustle & Flow – written by the legendary John Singleton – is more inspiring than ever, with a phenomenal transfer and most importantly a booming Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless soundtrack that brings the film’s iconic, Oscar-winning music to life.

All three films are truly essential parts of any film collection.

Roman Holiday

For the first time ever on 4K Ultra HD™, ROMAN HOLIDAY features a legendary, Oscar®-winning* performance from Audrey Hepburn (in her first starring role). It’s the story of a modern-day princess who, rebelling against her royal obligations, explores Rome on her own. She soon meets an American newspaperman (Gregory Peck), who pretends ignorance of her true identity in the hopes of obtaining an exclusive story. Naturally, his plan falters as they inevitably fall in love. Featuring Eddie Albert as a carefree cameraman pal, an Oscar®- winning** Dalton Trumbo screenplay, expert direction from William Wyler, and featuring Edith Head’s Oscar®-winning*** costumes, it’s a timeless romantic comedy considered to be one of the greatest films from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Sleepy Hollow

Master storyteller Tim Burton (Batman, Edward Scissorhands) weaves an eerie, enchanting version of this classic tale of horror. Johnny Depp is Ichabod Crane, an eccentric investigator determined to stop the murderous Headless Horseman. Christina Ricci is Katrina Van Tassel, the beautiful and mysterious girl with secret ties to the supernatural terror.

Hustle & Flow

HUSTLE & FLOW comes on 4K Ultra HD™ and remastered Blu-ray™ for the first time. Earning acclaim from critics and audiences alike—winning both the Audience Award at Sundance and the Oscar® for Best Original Song*—it’s an inspiring portrayal of redemption on life’s mean streets where “everybody gotta have a dream.” Written and directed by Craig Brewer (DOLEMITE IS MY NAME) and co-produced by John Singleton (BOYZ N THE HOOD), the movie features a fantastic cast that includes Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Anthony Anderson, and Ludacris.
