Viola Davis To Mann’s Crime World?

Viola Davis, the Oscar nominated star of The Help and last seen in Beautiful Creatures, is in talks to join Michael Mann’s upcoming project which is set to start production in China next month.  The plot of the film is being kept a closely guarded secret but it is known that Chris Hemsworth is already set to star and the film will see American and Chinese agencies trying to prevent a series of high-scale computer hacks.  If she signs up for the film Davis would play an FBI agent.  Mann’s last film was back in 2009 with Johnny Depp starrer Public Enemies but this looks to be sticking to what he knows best in the crime genre, albeit a cyber-crime world rather than bank robbers.  Davis has a number of films coming out this year with double-hitter The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby His and Hers before getting all sci-fi opposite Harrison Ford and Hugo’ Asa Butterfield in Ender’s Game.  Source – Deadline
