Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson To Terminate?

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the actor who has provided an adrenaline injection for franchises such as GI Joe and Fast & Furious, could be about to join The Terminator franchise.  While no official talks have opened between the star and the producers of the film it seems they are anxious to get the big man on board.  The rumour continues that the latest Terminator film will take place before Sarah or John Connor were born and see a Terminator sent back in time to target Sarah’s parents in the 1940s.  Presently all of this is under tight rumour control but if any of it is true it will at least see a new direction for the series to take.  And let’s be honest, Johnson is the natural successor to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s man-mountain mantel.  Schwarzenegger has recently confirmed that he is on board to return to the franchise that made him a super star but in what capacity is unclear.  What is known is that the film is being written by Drive Angry’s Patrick Lussier and Avatar’s Laeta Kalogridis.  Before all that we’ll get to see Johnson go all beefy for his role in Brett Ratner’s Hercules.  Source – The Examiner

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
