Ed Helms Joins Stretch

Ed Helms, last seen in The Hangover Part III, has joined Patrick Wilson for Joe Carnahan’s Stretch.  The film, which sees Carnahan taking a step to low-budget feature making, will see Wilson as a down-on-his-luck driver whose prospects seems to turn for the better when he’s hired by a mysterious billionaire to be his chauffeur.  Except it turns out to be a job from hell.  There’s no word on who Helms will play but we’ll also see Carnahan’s Smokin Aces star Chris Pine pop-up in a cameo role.  Carnahan recently tweeted a picture from the set with him, Helms, Pine and Wilson with a caption “the boys of Stretch” and hinted that there will be at least one more star to join the cast.  Helms meanwhile will next be seen with Jennifer Aniston in comedy We’re The Millers before heading off with Paul Rudd, Cobie Smulders and Amy Poehler for They Came Together.  Source – Variety

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
