Liam Hemsworth Heads To Aurora Rising

Liam Hemsworth, younger brother to Chris and last seen in The Hunger Games and The Expendables 2, has signed on to star in Aurora Rising.  Hemsworth will play a surfer turned fighter pilot in the action film.  After his first dog fight, Hemsworth’s character is recruited to test a new generation of aircraft which is set to come in very useful as a major conflict is on the horizon.  It all sounds very Top Gun meets Point Break, where cutting one’s first tube goes hand in hand with feeling the need for speed.  The script has been written by Christian Gudegast but as yet there is no director attached.  Hemsworth meanwhile has a slew of films coming out this year with the likes of Empire Stare opposite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson before heading to Paranoia with Harrison Ford and finally hooking up, once again, with Jennifer Lawrence for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  Source – The Hollywood Reporter

Alex Moss Editor

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
